Malmberg has signed a large contract with VEAS, Norway's largest sewage treatment plant. The order includes installations of pipes and machines in new process facilities for phosphorus-nitrogen removal. The contract amount is NOK 68 million.

For 44 years, main owner and CEO Per Malmberg has run Malmberg Group to a successful company in cleantech. During Mr Malmberg’s leadership, the company has grown considerably and the group turnover is approximately SEK 500 million, based on "pure energy and clean water". Per Malmberg will now be chairman of the Malmberg Group. New CEO becomes Sara Malmberg

In 2016, it was decided who will realize the construction and installation of the new drug residues treatment in Nykvarn WWT plant in Linköping. Malmberg will along with Suez implement engineering design and installation. Skanska is responsible for construction of the facility. The total sum for the entire plant is 25 million.

The company's headquarters are still in Åhus, outside Kristianstad, Sweden where it all started 150 years ago. Already in the 1970s Malmberg built the filters for Hässleholm sewage treatment plant. Now we will rebuild these filters with modern technology to meet future treatment requirements and increased loads. It will be done with the filter bottom system Triton®.
