Malmberg biogas upgrading is magical. That is what they say in Norway today. The Magic Factory (Magiske Fabrikken) outside Tønsberg in Norway has now been officially inaugurated. Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg was in place and Malmberg COMPACT® biogas upgrading plant does the job.
The Magiske Fabrikken recycle food waste and manure into sustainable biogas and s at the same time produces valuable bio-fertilizer production which makes new food grow.
Food waste comes from the inhabitants at Östlandsområdet from Kragerö to Asker. 11,000 tonnes of food waste and manure is taken care annually. This is equivalent to 6.8 million liters of diesel. The upgraded biogas is to be used as vehicle fuel in essence.
The Magiske Fabrikken is a collaboration between Vesar, Greve Biogass and Lindum which will operate the facility.
